Helsinki Tai Kai 2026
PUBLISHED 7 AUG 2025
Train with Someya Sensei
One of the most respected figures in the Bujinkan is returning to Europe for a landmark event. From July 10th–12th, 2026, Someya Kenichi Dai Shihan will lead a Tai Kai in Helsinki, Finland — an unmissable weekend of study, tradition, and practice in Budō Taijutsu.
A Teacher Rooted in Tradition, Committed to Shugyō
Someya Sensei is not just a senior instructor — he is one of the cornerstones of Bujinkan martial arts. With decades of study under his belt and a number of Menkyo Kaiden in various classical ryūha, his seminars offer deep access to the principles of real Japanese budo.
What sets Someya Sensei apart is not only his vast knowledge but his humble, student-focused approach. In Japan, it is common for him to begin training by asking what the visiting pupils want to study. From there, he seamlessly builds the lesson. It isn’t just training. It’s shugyō — the personal and often spiritual journey of martial practice.
