Adkins unveils the “Boyka Gym.”
Action movie star Scott Adkins, has unveiled his brand-new home gym. The British actor proudly guides viewers through the custom-built training space in a revealing YouTube tour. It comes complete with a sprung floor, punchbags, weight machines, and everything needed to maintain the high-octane style that has made him a favorite among martial arts cinema fans.
The new gym, located at Adkins’ home in the UK, has been a lifelong dream. What was once an outdoor pool has now been transformed into a private training hub. The design balances function and flair: acoustic wall panels, neon lighting, and air conditioning give the space a professional studio feel, while the sprung floor provides the perfect surface for practicing the aerial kicks and flips that have become his trademark.
Fittingly, Adkins has named the gym the “Boyka Gym” after one of his most iconic characters—Yuri Boyka, the formidable fighter from the Undisputed film series. It’s a nod to the role that cemented his reputation as a modern martial arts movie legend.
Inside the gym, fans will find bands, kettlebells, free weights, and resistance machines—all tools Adkins uses to stay screen-ready. Combined with the martial arts training equipment, it’s a setup designed not just for fitness, but for maintaining the kind of explosive athleticism audiences expect when he steps into a fight scene.
“I’m training in this gym every single day. Without fail.”
Adkins is best remembered as Casey Bowman, the American martial artist from the 2009 movie Ninja. The film’s story follows Bowman as he travels to New York City to protect the Yoroi Bitsu—an armored chest containing the sacred weapons of the last Kōga ninja.
While the plot drew on ninja mystique, it was Adkins’ athletic ability and martial screen presence that gave the film its edge. Now, with his new gym, he’s ensuring those skills remain razor sharp for the next role.
